We are currently organizing the first ICSES Annual General Meeting, which will take place in September 2026 (tentative date: September 24, 4PM CET). The AGM will provide an opportunity to discuss the consortium’s future plans, explore opportunities for collaboration, introduce the different ways members can get involved, and welcome both new and existing members. Interested in attending?

From 25-26 June 2026, researchers from around the world gathered in Stockholm, Sweden for the annual International Society for the Study of Self-Injury (ISSS) Conference. The programme featured keynote lectures, interactive sessions, and opportunities to share the latest research on non-suicidal self-injury and foster international collaboration.

The 20th annual conference of the International Society for the Study of Self-Injury will take place in Wellington, New Zealand, on June 26th and 27th, 2025, with a pre-conference on the 25th. This milestone event offers a unique opportunity to connect with and learn from some of the world’s leading experts on NSSI. Notably, this will be the first time the conference is held outside the Northern Hemisphere.

In 2024, the International Society for the Study of Self-Injury held its 19th Annual International Conference in person in Toronto, Canada. Pre-conference and networking events, including the special interest group meeting of ICSES, took place on the 26th. The main conference spanned the 27th and 28th, concluding with the Annual General Meeting.

In 2023, the International Society for the Study of Self-Injury hosted the annual conference in person in Vienna, Austria. On the 21st, pre-conference special interest group (SIGs) meetings, such as ICSES, were organised and networking events were hosted. The conference itself ran across the 22nd and 23rd, finishing with the Annual General Meeting.
