ICSES is an interdisciplinary and international consortium bringing together 52 members from 16 countries, including 18 professors, six postdoctoral researchers, three clinicians, and 24 PhD and graduate students. We aim to conduct translational research that not only advances knowledge but also results in practical resources and support for schools, students, families, and professionals.
Our work focuses on areas such as prevention and early intervention, institutional responses to self-injury, supporting young people and their families, and translating research findings into educational practice. To date, the consortium’s work has resulted in more than 40 publications, several collaborative research projects, and psychoeducational resources that have been translated into multiple languages.
